List of Floricultural Entrance Exams

Floriculture is a branch of horticulture. It is concerned with the farming of ornamental as well as flowering plants for gardens and the floral industry. There are several courses in our country that offers floriculture courses at the Graduate as well as the postgraduate levels. Candidates who seek to join these courses will be required to write an entrance exam. A list of some of those exams is given below.

Graduate Programme

Eligibility Criteria

The basic qualification required for a student to join the graduate program is a pass in class 12. The student must have learned Biology and Physics.

Postgraduate Programme

  • M.Sc. Floriculture and Landscaping
  • MBA Agribusiness
  • PhD in Floriculture
  • Postgraduate diploma in Horticulture

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who seek to join the postgraduate programs are required to have a graduate degree in the related subject.

Career Prospects

For a student who has finished their course, many lucrative jobs are available. It is possible for students to work with Floriculture units, Outdoor designing companies, consultancy firms. It is also possible to work with City builders and planners. Another option for students is to seek employment with educational institutions. Perfume and Cosmetics industry also takes in students of this field. The remuneration of the candidates will differ on the basis of their qualification as well as the type of the establishment that employs them. Those who are freelancing or own their own companies can command their own salary package. But is only after they have gained the required experience and knowledge in this field. The salary of Academicians and Researchers are paid as per the norms of the government.
